We are sorry to say that, due to the national lockdown, we are once again forced to temporarily close from 5 November. We remain optimistic that we will be open again and ready to welcome you in December – but please watch this space for updates
The Woodman Arms is located in the tiny hamlet of Hammerpot, Sussex - just north of Angmering. Surrounded by the rolling hills and woodland of the South Downs, it’s a blissfully relaxed spot to enjoy fine food and drink.
You’ll find the pub on the A27, midway between Arundel and Worthing. Take extra care if you’re travelling westbound and using the Poling turning, as the A27 is a fast road. When you arrive, you’ll find a private car park at the pub.
While you’re in the area, why not explore Arundel Castle? There are nearly 1,000 years of history to discover at this famous fort, situated in magnificent grounds overlooking the River Arun in West Sussex - and it’s just four miles from the pub.
If you’re more into nature than history, then head for Angmering Park Estate instead - perfect for walks with family and four-legged friends. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our main bar, so you’ll all be able to find rest and refreshment here after your walk.
